ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Liz, and I’m here to support you through life’s challenges. Based in Surrey, I specialize in working with men and women who need help managing the challenges that come with life, particularly as we age.

Whether you're facing life transitions, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, or work-related stress, I offer a compassionate, understanding, solution-focused approach to guide you through these experiences.

As we get older, challenges often feel more overwhelming, and it’s easy to feel stuck or unsure about how to move forward. That’s where I come in.

Why I Do This Work
With over 30 years of experience in the field of mental and emotional wellness, I have the qualifications and expertise (see the FAQ page for details). But what really sets me apart is that I’ve also personally experienced many of the challenges that life can throw our way. This helps me to understand what you're going through and approach our work together with empathy and real-life perspective.

It’s not just about qualifications—it’s about being able to truly listen, understand, and find the right path forward for you. Trust your intuition when choosing a therapist, and I encourage you to compare different options to find the best fit for you.

A Little About Me
Now in my 60s, I am very much a human being, just like you. Problems and challenges don’t discriminate—they can hit anyone at any time. I’ve faced my own significant challenges, including divorce, relationship difficulties, illness, bereavement, and caring for aging parents. These experiences have shaped my approach and understanding of what it means to cope and heal.

I firmly believe that having someone on your team during tough times makes a world of difference. You don't have to go through it alone.

Outside of therapy, I have several interests, some of which are weather-dependent, but I particularly enjoy swimming, walking, reading, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends. Summer camping trips are also a favourite.

Maintaining a healthy balance is essential for overall well-being, and I strive to practise what I preach—though, like anyone, I’m not perfect! Progress is more important than perfection.
